GUARANTEE
MECHANICAL GUARANTEE
Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd., guarantees that the equipment included in its scope of supply shall be brand-new, that material of first class and suitable quality shall be used for the manufacture of the equipment and that such manufacture shall be of first class workmanship and high grade manufacturing technique.
Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd., provides mechanical guarantee covering the equipment, the mechanical guarantee will last twelve (12) calendar months from the date of first start-up or eighteen (18) calendar months from the FOB delivery date, whichever period ends earlier.
Fair wear and tear cannot be considered as a cause of free replacement as well as any damage caused by miscare, wear and tear or faculty operation on the part of Owner's personnel. During the period of mechanical guarantee, if defects or deficiencies arise, the Owner will inform Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd., specifying, if possible, the reasons.
Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd., shall provide technical assistance for the removal of the defects or deficiencies, as well as for the replacement of parts, if needed.
Liabilities for direct or indirect damage, except repair and replacement of defective parts, are declined.
The Owner shall not be entitled to raise any claim under the guarantee if the defects and-or deficiencies complained of are due to non-observance of Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd., written instructions or anyhow not due to Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd.,
Any other engagement or liability for direct or indirect damages, except repair and replacement of defective parts, are declined.
PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE
If the plant is operated and maintained according to Ti's written instructions, our guarantees, at design conditions, with the tolerances allowed by the applied standards.
a) the production capacity of the electrodes will be 62.5kg/h available chlorine
b) the specific power consumption for electrolysis at the D.C. terminals of the generator units 4.19 + 2% kWh/kg available chlorine with 25`C seawater Inlet temperature. The value is referred to the guarantee production capacity of active chlorine and is based on seawater at 25`C temperature and salinity as TDS (dn*ed at 1800C) of 36,000 mg/I
ELECTRODES GUARANTEE
The guarantee operating period of the electrodes is 60 months (5 years) from the date of the first start-up of the System, under the condition that the plant is operated, checked and maintained according to Ti's written instructions. (If the electrodes are to be operated 7 to 8 months per year, then the life of the electrodes is to be 7 years). However, the guarantee for the electrodes is strict on the operating period of 5 years.
During the plant showed-down, stored electrolytes are to be drained automatically. If the electrolyte is stored with out the current supply, then the self corrosion of cathodes will be take place.
During the period, any electrodes, which may show to be exhausted or otherwise unsuitable for further operation, shall be reconditioned by Ti in its works.
All costs involved in the transportation of the electrode assemblies to and from Ti's works such as packing, freight, insurance, customs duties, etc, are excluded from Ti's engagement under this guarantee.
After the guarantee operation period here above specified, the reconditioning of the electrode assemblies, including recoating of anodes will be at Owner's costs.
