What is EDAPWSS?

An EDAPWSS is a device which disinfects and purifies the ground water through electrolytic process, it removes the unwanted minerals and sustains the wanted minerals.

What is the Need of EDAPWSS?

  • It purifies the water and make it efficient for drinking.
  • It kills the biological growth in the water by chlorination.
  • It removes the unwanted minerals in the water and sustains the wanted.
  • It removes the salts in the water to avoid scale formation in the pipelines.

  • At the anode: Oxidation of chloride ions to produce chlorine (Cl2).
  • At the cathode: Reduction of water to produce sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and hydrogen (H2).
  • Liberated chlorine reacts with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) instantaneously.

Sri Sairam Engineering College Final year student from Electronics & Instrumentation Student’s Project Inline electrolytic disinfected system using Programmable logic controller (Madhuprabha.S, Susan Thomas, Renuka Devi.E & Sindusha.K), Tiaano has a privilege to help them in Titanium Electrolyser with MMO Coating for their ELDS. We can now use any source of water with minimum TDS 400 can be treated with ELDS without the addition of NaCl (Common Salt). Students applied for the patent and paper submission in IEEE with help from there HOD where successful in publishing the same.
